Saladin - Handmade Alpaca Bear

This is another quality item from the fleece of the award winning herd of Andaw Alpaca and the creative talents of the team at Calamity Bears.  It is being sold online by us as a limited edition collection on behalf of Andaw Alpacas.

This is totally handmade and many hours of work go into each bear along with their outfits.  These bears are dressed in lovely limegreen outfits which are made from a yarn called Silk Embrace and this comes from Suri alpaca and silk.

The fleece for this collection of bears comes from an alpaca called Cleopatra and she has given Andaw Alpaca two lovely crias, one called Sahbee in 2009 and another called Saladin in 2010.  It feels fittiing therefore to call the bears after them.

Saladin means "Virtuous/honourable"  and I am sure that this bear will become a gift that will be treasured forever.
