Selling Your Fleece
We have many options available depending upon your circumstances and what you are trying to achieve. Some examples of what we have successfully offered others are as follows:
Example 1
Breeder wants to cover shearing costs and dispose of fleece. Therefore we have paid for the costs and received the fleece for our own use
Example 2
Owner has small number of animals and therefore has donated fleece and we have given back finished goods to equivalent value
Example 3
I mainly buy fleeces from small producers and a guideline of the prices offered are shown as a guideline below. Please note that to receive the top prices you will need to have a laboratory certificate. This is not necessary if you don't want to go down this route as all fleeces will be graded by myself and a fair price offered. However we will tip out all sealed bags and inspect and I do expect all fleeces to have been properly skirted. By this I mean that you have already picked the fleece clean of all debris such as straw and faeces. Failure to do this will be affect the price offered. I will also want to know what chemicals if any) you have used on your herd in the previous three months.
